Sooo much fun

During this holiday season I've had so much fun!!!! My Mom,My boys(men)and my brothers family did a photo session with JEG3 Photography (information below)… Happy hour with the team members of epic proportion… then off to Jersey for a customer appreciation holiday party and cut up with my cousins as always!! Lots of fun… Christmas day with my sister in law's family - always fun… I love them… All my boys(men) and i enjoyed quiet times with Scooby & Kitty Girl(oxymoron quiet times - Scooby)… we ate and ate some more… i have gained gained gained… about 5lbs… but i will work it off, as i have not gone to zumba in a month.. but i have to say i have enjoyed this season.. there were fun surprises at work, like unknowingly walking into your bosses office while he's siting there with an elf hat on-trying to have a serious conversation.. I've learned that going where your not wanted yet invited can be inspiring… Life has taught me sooo much.. and finding those who are in your corner and supporting your dreams is an assignment they receive from the Lord!!! so you never know where you'll meet them be kind to all! Next year can only get better. For those who really love me and are in my corner… you know the next steps and details- Lets pray for a steady pace in achieving those things.. 44 things - Bringing in the New Year!

Since this is my 44th year of living I've decided to post the 44 things I've learned.. Some im still working on.. I have "ground hogs day experiences" with others... UGH!! But kept right on getting on... Some are lifes lessons, real experiences.. some I've learned from a good spirtual word. This year, I will begin the real work in the setting up of my non-profit, Im starting small with a scholorship fund for local teen mothers who want to go to college. I'll have a fundraiser within the first quarter - I get excited at the thought of planing it!!!! And YES you are invited. Im following my assignment, purpose, hearts desire and true passion this year... and it will be the greatest year yet!! Im sure of that... On the local side I plan to continue to and grow into what God said.. I will get back into working out, I've been bad over the Holidays, and will get back on track ASAP!! I plan to spend quality time alone, and with my core family this year. I plan to have a photo shoot of those important in my life core friends and family.. I think that'll be fun!I plan to publish another book(or two) so that i can purchase a Harley, I also plan to move forward, no more ground hogs day moments(been there done that, moving on) I plan to just live my life this year.. as i have in the past years BUT BETTER!!!!! What will you do??

A skin softening discovery

Hey there… Yesterday for some reason i decided to google how to use epson salt as an exfoliant. I read that you can mix it with your favorite shower gel. Mix Epson salt, shower gel and baby oil creating a paste then apply it to your skin for about 10 mins (it may be a bit messy) think of it as an at home spa body scrub treatment. Jump in the shower rinse the mixture off, then cleanse with shower gel until all remnants of the mixture has dissolved. before toweling off rub on baby oil and let it sit for 10 mins (sorta drying).. then towel off. Your skin will be silky soft. Im suggesting this once every two weeks, especially during the winter months. This was so much fun… and relaxing… everyone needs girl-time!!! Enjoy!!!!!

Books

This weekend I ended up at a closeout sell at Borders. This particular store is located in Largo.. Now while i purchased Charles Dickens classic A Tale of Two Cites combined with Great Expectations for 10 bucks and George W. Bush's book... for 14 bucks and a puzzle for 10.

i couldn't help but wonder, what is happening to print media?

you hear it often. with newspapers no longer in circulation the rise of IPads, Kindles and the like..

What does this mean for the book world.. conversely the book world in the black community? We don't have very many bookstores, and one of the leading chains is closing up shop in our community.

Are the costs of books going up? has electronic books really taken control of the market..

I will always reach for a book.. there's just something about it. But at the same time, i will get that IPad II..
